FIVE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH

There are five things you can do to improve your health right now!

  1. Drink more water.

    Most people don’t drink nearly enough water and there is a very simple way to figure out how much water you need to drink a day.

    Body weight ¸ 2 = number of ounces of water to drink daily

    For example, if you weigh 100 pounds, you need to drink 50 ounces of water a day.   (plus an additional 8 ounces for each caffienated or alcoholic beverage)
     

  1. Stop Drinking Coffee

This is challenging for many, especially here in Seattle, but it is one of the greatest things you can do for your health.  Coffee robs us of our vital Qi and we can never get that back.  The acids and the oils are very harsh on our body systems as well.  If you are receiving treatment, having a cup of coffee after reduces the effectiveness of treatment dramatically.  If you need to jump start your day, drink tea!

  1. Exercise

Most people don’t exercise enough or at all.  Simple exercise helps the flow of Qi. Walking is an excellent suggestion.

  1. Meditate

    Taking time every day create stillness and quiet in our lives helps balance the hectic pace that most of us experience.
     

  1. Eat Locally and Seasonally

    Eating that which grows nears us during the times that it grows brings us more in touch with the Earth and with Nature.  This puts us more in sync with the natural rhythms of our environment.  When we are in tuned with our surroundings, we experience greater health.
